commercial traveller:
(also with the spelling ‘commercial traveler’; plural: ‘commercial travellers‘; pronunciation: the first ‘c’ in this word is pronounced with a ‘k’ sound as in “king”, and the second ‘c’ with ‘ial’ is pronounced with an ‘sh’ sound)
a person who travels from place to place visiting people, telling or showing them the products and the nature of business of the company he/she represents and getting orders (business) for the company he works for,

a commercial traveller calling on a customer
A commercial traveller must be as patient as Job because it is easy to sell something to a customer who needs it or who is looking for it, but it is not so easy to make a person interested in something that he/she does know about or does not immediately need it and then make him/her buy it.
Commercial travellers are subjected to more stress than those who works in an office as they have to meet the dead lines and targets and also to balance their life between spending more time and caring for their families from which they are often away and making progress in their profession.
One would be surprised to know that there are women commercial travellers who make good business for the employers they work for.
