fielders in position in a game of cricket
In a game of cricket, the victory of a match depends mostly on the fielders who must be alert and stop the opponent team’s batsmen from scoring runs.
In baseball, there are three defence positions: left fielder, centre fielder and right fielder, and, in addition, outfielder.
In the game of cricket, no fielder is positioned behind the wicket-keeper, and if the wicket-keeper misses a ball, the ball is sure to go beyond the boundary line, giving the opponent’s team four runs.
Some players are so good at fielding that some clubs and teams select them to use them only as fielders, and some of them are highly dependable, and the runs they make as batsmen are bonus to the team’s score.
