jeweller:
(also ‘jeweler’ with a single ‘l’, mostly in American English; plural: ‘jewellers‘)

a jeweller at work
a person who makes gold and silver ornaments with precious stones that people wear to decorate themselves;
a person who buys and sells jewels or ornaments containing jewels,

a jeweller with jewellery at his jeweller’s (shop)
Being a noted jeweller, Joe is very careful how he chooses gold, silver and jewels because in his opinion, the quality of his ornaments is more important than the design.
Of the two categories of jewellers, the ‘bench’ jeweller, looks not so dignified and immaculate, is the one who actually makes ornaments, and the other jeweller, looks dignified and immaculate, is the one who just buys and sells ornaments.
Though jewelers in the State are more exposed to the risk of robberies/heists, they make more profits than jewelers in other parts of the world.
