mankind:
(no plural form; collective noun; also ‘humankind’; pronunciation: ‘man…kind’)
all the people on the earth — men, women and children, (commonly used to refer to all the people only, not including animals and other living beings such as plants, etc.)
Mankind is only a small part and recent entrant to life on the earth.
It’s seems that the mankind is trying to bring doom to itself by damaging the earth beyond repair.
Since the origin of the first ‘man’ on the earth, the humankind has stood high above the other forms of life –above animals, plants, etc.
The mankind being the superior living organisms on the planet demand so much from the other living organisms that in a few centuries, it is feared, there would be no other living thing found on the earth!
