In the present day usage, the new word for ‘masseur or masseuse’ is “massage therapist”.
The profession of a masseur or masseuse is very sensitive as he/she has to touch and rub the naked body of a client, and anything could happen when a young masseur keeps massaging a young lady or a young masseuse easing the physical stress of a gentleman!
As the life in general is becoming more and more stressful and more and more people are looking for ways to relieve their physical and mental stiffness, the demand for masseurs and masseuses in health spas and massage parlours is growing.
