Mountaineers often hire muleteers to carry their equipment.
Even in this age of machines, there are still some muleteers working hard with their mules in some remote mountainous areas, carrying tourists, scientists and researchers and their equipment and supplies into the remote mountainous parts of the world where motor vehicles can’t be used.
A gang of ‘muleteers’ who was trying to recruit young girls to smuggle cocaine out of the country was nabbed by the police in a sting operation!
