nag:
(also ‘nagger‘, ‘common scold’, ‘scold’, ‘scolder’, ‘complainer’, ‘grumbler‘; plural: ‘nags‘; for the right pronunciation, please click here)
a person, especially a woman, who always complains about simple things and who bothers/scolds/annoys others by trying to find faults and by pointing out simple mistakes,
e.g.
She is such a nag that her husband left her forever.
Don’t be such a nag, dear; give me a break!
It’s quite surprising to learn that some well-educated men are such nags that only a few people, like their wives and young children, can stand them.
Most grown-ups believe that their parents are naggers and quite often get into arguments to show how much they hate them!

Note: ‘Nag’ is more commonly used as a verb to mean ‘to constantly complain about simple matters, annoy or bother others’. And ‘nag‘ can also mean a race-horse.
