any person belonging to a tribe or a large group of people who for centuries have not had a permanent home but move from place to place in search of food and water for themselves and grazing land and water for their live stocks as the seasons change (tribes of Arabia including Mongolians; Africa including people around the Sahara Desert; South America including some ancient Americans, etc.);
any person, though educated and living in a city, who habitually does not or cannot stay at one place and do one job for a period of time but often moves from place to place finding a new job at each new place as they move,
Nomads have a hard life… they just follow the moving clouds and stay for a short time until the food for themselves and fodder for their live stock are used up in that place.
Governments of those countries where nomads live in the remote places are trying to educate them and to bring them to nearby places and teach them the normal settled way of life.
There are nomads in the cities who move from one rented home to another, or changing jobs quite frequently, usually complaining of unsuitable conditions around.
