[‘to oscillate’ = to swing from side to side or up and down in a continuous and rhythmic way ; and with people, to change or move from one thing to another and back to the first one, and so on…]
an oscillator (a person that moves from one idea to another)
a person who oscillates, i.e. a person who is unable to stick to one idea or who is unable to stick to one plan or a course of action but keeps moving from one idea or course of action to another and again back to the first one, after some thinking, again moving to another one, and so on,
e.g.
My friend is an oscillator; he cannot stick to one idea or choose one plan of action.
