Peddlers usually go from place to place on foot carrying their goods they sell themselves or employ somebody to carry them, and when they use a cart or wagon to carry their goods, then they may be called ‘hawkers’. These days, however, peddlers are using motorized vehicles to move about and hawkers set up their ‘hawker stalls’!
In the past, peddlers played an important role in the lives of people living in far away towns or villages by supplying them with their basic goods such as pots and pans.
