presbyter:

a priest or teacher in a Christian church;
an elderly person who looks after/oversees the church affairs,
e.g.
‘Presbyter’, which originally referred to a leader of church goers in a community, now refers to a priest, pastor or any elder in different Christian groups.
Note: ‘Presbyterian”, always with a capital ‘P’, is more commonly used to refer to a member of a Protestant Christian Church, and as an adjective, it is used to refer to a certain Christian Church, e.g. ‘Presbyterian Church’, ‘Presbyterian Cross’, ‘Presbyterian priest’, ‘Presbyterian speakers’, etc.. e.g. Several Presbyterian Churches in the USA celebrated their 150 anniversary in the recent past.
