Old Sam is not only a good care-taker of our building but also a skilled repairer who can repair anything in no time.
Though repairer is a common name for any skilled worker who repairs things, there is a specific word for each of the repairers depending on what they work on, for example, the one who repairs our cars is a mechanic, the one who fixes our laptop is a technician, the one who sets electric things right is an electrician and a person who repairs clocks and watches is called a horologist or watch maker!
There is always a shade of doubt in the minds of machine users that the repairers they engage to repair their machines may be dishonest and over-charge them for very minor repairs.
