Elizabeth, the dispensing chemist in our local dispensary, is an angel; she knows all her patients and knows her so well that none of her patients go back to their doctor for confirmation of the medicine she dispenses.
The other names that are commonly used in connection with the profession of dispensing or selling medicine are chemist, druggist, pharmacist and pharmacy dispenser, depending on the country one is in.
As is the case with other medical professionals, dispensing chemists are also required to have degree in pharmacology and some hands-on training at a pharmacy under the supervision of a senior pharmacist, chemist or dispensing chemist.
