greengrocer:
(plural: ‘greengrocers‘; pronunciation: the letters ‘g’ in this word rhyme with the letter ‘g’ in the word “garden” — ‘green…grocer’)
a shopkeeper who sells vegetables and fruit,

a happy greengrocer
Jane has been our greengrocer for more than twenty years and has never sold us any vegetables that are not organic!
Before the onset of super- and hyer-markets, there used to be shops for each item, for instance, a greengrocer’s (shop) for vegetables and fruit, baker’s (bakery) for bread, butcher’s (butchery) for meats, hardware shop for iron tools, etc.
The governments all over the world are encouraging the people to use organic vegetables and buy only from the local greengrocers who mostly sell local farm-grown fresh vegetables to stay healthy and to save the atmosphere from chemical pollution.
Note 2: A greengrocer’s apostrophe is an apostrophe (the punctuation mark ‘) which is grammatically used with nouns to show possession — “This is my uncle‘s car. — is erroneously/wrongly used to form plurals of nouns — “I have two cat’s.” or “Apple’s are sold at two dollars a dozen.”
