Kiwi:
(plural: ‘kiwis‘; for the right pronunciation, please click here)
a native person from New Zealand, a country near Australia,

a Kiwi (person) with a kiwi (bird)
I saw a Kiwi sitting on a bench in a park with a kiwi in a cage eating a ripe kiwi. (the first ‘Kiwi’ with a capital ‘K’ is a New Zealander, the second ‘kiwi’ is a bird (in a cage) and the third ‘kiwi’ is a ‘ripe’ fruit)
New Zealanders call Australians ‘Aussies’ or ‘kangaroos’ and Australians call New Zealanders ‘Kiwis’ or ‘Maoris’.
When asked how they feel being called Kiwis, most New Zealanders say that they are proud to be called ‘Kiwis’.
The indigenous people, mostly from Polynesia some hundreds of years ago, are called ‘Maori’ but the mixed races, most of them from other origins including Europe, now living in New Zealand are all Kiwis.
