llama as pack-animal
The llama is the national animal of Bolivia, South America.
Llamas are hunted or kept on farms for their meat, wool and hides (= dried skin to be made into leather). The dried droppings of llama are used as fuel in the domestic cooking fires.
Llamas can be good pack animals (beast of burden), pet animals, and can be used as live stock guard animals, like dogs, to look after the sheep or other farm animals!
Llamas cannot stick their tongues out because their tongues are stuck and they can only stick out half an inch out of their lips!
Llamas spit on others, including humans, when they are upset or angry!!
It has been observed that all the females in a herd gather around the female that is giving birth for protection from predators – males not allowed!
