a person who kills or has killed his/her mother,
Yukio Yamaji was a Japanese matricide who killed his mother in 2009 and was sentenced to imprisonment for four years, and later was hanged to death for killing two other women.
Studies have shown that most of the matricides were young men who killed their mothers to get their hands on the family property sooner, and when it comes to female matricides, it was the middle aged women who killed their mothers because they believed that their mothers ruined their marital lives by harassing their husbands to the extent of making them run away from them.
Though the general belief is that bad parenting breeds matricides or patricides, the family experts are in the opinion that the way how parents treat their children has little to do with how children grow up and what they become of themselves in their lives.
