naturopath:
(also ‘naturopathic doctor’; plural: ‘naturopaths‘; for the right pronunciation of this word, please click here)
a person (doctor or therapist) who practices naturopthy, i.e. treats his patients with a system of treatment/therapy that involves body massage, sunlight, traditional diet and other things that are found in nature (not using any modern medicine like pills, injections, ointments, etc. that are made by pharmaceutical companies)
My daughter-in-law is a qualified naturopath; she treats with all sorts of allergies without using any modern day medication.
Naturopaths are in great demand these days as the patients of chronic diseases prefer to be treated with the power of nature rather than with the use allopathy medicine and suffer side-effects.
Most naturopaths advise their patients to spend more time outdoors doing some simple exercises or taking up a hobby, such as gardening, photography, etc., and to eat lots of raw foods or boiled foods and dried fruit that are grown naturally.
