a person/fortuneteller who tells you your future by looking at, reading or understanding the lines in your palm,
(a ‘palm’, in this context = the inside part of one’s hand)
a palmist (R) with a client
e.g.
The palmist is a person who practices palmistry, the art of telling the future of a person by reading the lines on his/her palm.
The modern science condemns/refuses to believe or accept palmistry and accuses the palmists of robbing the innocent people of their money.
